Someone is ALWAYS watching

I post a lot of quotes on my Facebook and Twitter accounts. I find quotes I like or I retweet quotes friends have posted. They are little "pick me ups" and encouragement to me (plus an easy place to find if I need them again.) It's not a big deal, just something I do.

Proof that you never know who is watching, two days ago my youngest child brought me a list of quotes she had looked up so I could post them. I had no idea she was watching!

So, here is the proud mom posting the quotes the 11 year old daughter deemed worthy for my friends and family. Enjoy. I know I did. And remember...you never know who is watching you. Make sure what they see is something you won't mind if they emulate....

"Circumstances may cause interruptions and delays, but never lose sight of your goal."

"Prepare yourself in every way you can by increasing your knowledge and adding to your experience so that you can make the most of opportunity when it occurs."

"Anyone who goes through life trusting people without making sure they are worthy of trust is a fool. Yet there are people who may be trusted, men as well as women. There are as many differences in their natures as there are flowers in these meadows"

"A painter told me that nobody could draw a tree without in some sort becoming a tree; or draw a child by studying the outlines of its form merely...but by watching for a time his motions and plays, the painter enters into his nature and can then draw him at every attitude."

Sunday morning I had the privilege of praying with a beautiful young mom and her baby. It was a very nice day, not too cold, almost perfect for you cooler weather fans. I was talking to the baby about her hand being cold and her mom said something that stuck with me...ever since. She mentioned that she didn't think it was going to be cold when she left home and probably should have put mittens on the baby, but then she said:

"I didn't know I was cold until you touched me."

Psalm 119:18-20:"open my eyes so I can see what you show me of your miracle-wonders. I'm a stranger in these parts; give me clear directions. My soul is starved and hungry, ravenous! - insatiable for your nourishing commands."

Have you ever wanted SOMETHING to eat but didn't have a clue what? You went through the house eating everything you could find trying to satisfy that yearning. If you only knew WHAT IT WAS that you want you would get it and stop the crazy search. A lot of people do the same thing in their search for the one thing that will satisfy their soul; they try relationships, work, food, drugs, ANYTHING to fill that need they have inside. It's a place that only Jesus can fill.

The young mom remembered that I had prayed with her before. I remembered her. She remembered me. A remembrance and a simple touch can be an awakening to something you didn't know you needed....

"Come everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;
and he who has no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."
Isaiah 55:1

Is it ever a good thing....

when your child leaves a TWO PAGE "needs from the store" list??
