Sunday morning I had the privilege of praying with a beautiful young mom and her baby. It was a very nice day, not too cold, almost perfect for you cooler weather fans. I was talking to the baby about her hand being cold and her mom said something that stuck with me...ever since. She mentioned that she didn't think it was going to be cold when she left home and probably should have put mittens on the baby, but then she said:

"I didn't know I was cold until you touched me."

Psalm 119:18-20:"open my eyes so I can see what you show me of your miracle-wonders. I'm a stranger in these parts; give me clear directions. My soul is starved and hungry, ravenous! - insatiable for your nourishing commands."

Have you ever wanted SOMETHING to eat but didn't have a clue what? You went through the house eating everything you could find trying to satisfy that yearning. If you only knew WHAT IT WAS that you want you would get it and stop the crazy search. A lot of people do the same thing in their search for the one thing that will satisfy their soul; they try relationships, work, food, drugs, ANYTHING to fill that need they have inside. It's a place that only Jesus can fill.

The young mom remembered that I had prayed with her before. I remembered her. She remembered me. A remembrance and a simple touch can be an awakening to something you didn't know you needed....

"Come everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;
and he who has no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."
Isaiah 55:1
